I am in the process of getting back into Hobie sailing after a long absence. I have a possible boat located to purchase. It is a 2010 Hobie 16 w/o a trailer. It is in "perfect condition", always stored inside with virtually no damage anywhere. What is a fair price. Seller is asking $7900. Everything is stock.

considering they are around 11K new, that is not a bad price at all. When I was looking over the past year I found a 2001 where they were asking around $6500.00 for it. I thought they were crazy. Needless to say it is still for sale and 11 years old.

What is your location?

If it is a "perfect condition" it is worth the asking price regardless of your location. Just make sure it is a "perfect condition" for you as well as the seller.

Thanks for the input! I got it purchased today and was able to wiggle the price down a bit also. Can't wait for the weather to warm up - - - - we still have hard water here in Iowa.

Just strap on some ice skates to the bottom of the hulls and go Ice Sailing!

I'm in Sioux City. Yankton and Storm Lake are good spots close to me. I don't know any contacts for any Hobie groups in either location - - - - so any info would be appreciated. Thanks for spoting my Iowa location and trying to help.
