What are some of the better home made sail storage boxes for trailers? I have priced 10" pvc pipe, and they want $169 for a 20' length. I was hoping to get by a little cheaper! The black corrugated drainage pipe is considerably less at $69 for a 20' length. I haven't found either pipe in 10' lengths, so if I buy a 20' section, I would have enough for someone else if they were interested. I'm sure I can figure out a good way of fabricating ends to keep the tubes sealed.

Besides making a wooden box (I don't want the maintenance of wood), what are some of the better home made ideas that you have actually seen or tried?

Try looking up construction company storage yards. They some times have remnants of pipe that they will sell to you. Got mine that way, 14"diameter x 10 feet long $20

Gary -
Is ADS a brand name for a drainage pipe or PVC?

pvc is very heavy and the cost is high
ADS plastic pipe is cheap and the cost is low
ADS keeps the sun and rain off the sails what else do you need
My current 16 has a fiberglass sail coffin which came with the used boat
My 21 has only the sail bag
