The whole issue of fading is a bit overdone. The red ones aren't nearly as bad as some make them out to be. Colour is a very personal decision. We all have our favourites, but none are bad.

I like our Yellow Oasis because it's visible and it was the one that was on sale. But really, you've got to pick the one that you like the best. Don't let someone talk you out of a colour that you prefer. You're the one who will be living with the boat.

You guys crack me up. My wife is trying to get some work done at her computer (She's a visiting nurse and does a lot of paperwork at home.) I'm sitting "quietly" in my recliner reading the forum, chuckling, snorting, and blowing coffee out my nose. I just hope ya all aren't responsible for killing a patient cause she wrote down the wrong med while rolling her eyes at me.

There IS an aspect of color I've wondered about: I know that there are certain colors (don't recall which ones), that if you stare at them for awhile and then look away, you will see altered colors in whatever you look at for the next few minutes. Not a serious problem in life, just something I've noticed and read about.

So I bought a dune TI because I didn't want to be surrounded by a lot of yellow or red in bright sunlight and then look up and be color blind for a while. Earth is too beautiful to miss the real thing. But since none of you ever mention it, I guess it's not a problem.

Yes, if you stare at the Hobie Red hull color a few seconds in bright sun, then look away, you see a green ghost image of the hull. My fishing buddy's AI was red.
