Glad you finally found one. Where are you going to sail around Bham? May make a trip down there sometime if there is a spot worth it.

I am in Tuscaloosa. Got a big lake. North end the best. Gonna join the Tuscaloosa sailing club at some point. First time or two out may be at the south end of the lake. May try Holt Lake which is part of the black warrior river which runs throught town. This is just northeast of us. River gets wide and I think it gets a good funnel of wind through it. Working now on getting ready

I did'nt really want to revive this old thread, but this is Just "WRONG"

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/boa/3716098241.html

Post what it is, not what you want people to see by deception, If someone wants it , it will sell. Makes you want to think twice, about who you might be dealing with.

In case the link leads to a deleted post. Its Titled on CL as "Hobie Cat 18"
But when you click on the ad, its really a, 83' Prindle 18, I think that a Prindle is a good enough boat with merit, to be listed as a Prindle 18.

From the ad:

Quote:
1983 PRINDLE,30FT Mast ,SAILS GREAT SHAPE,BOAT IS CLEAN,have the original Manuel,
Everything you need for a awesome fun weekend, title and sticker is current ,everything stored inside

I guess the guy in the picture is named Manuel and comes with the boat!

if you want to sell something, maybe clean it/make it not look like it was dropped between a tree and a fence for a decade?

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/boa/3767062650.html

i've seen this same boat for sale on craiglist since before I got my boat, which was two years ago.
for when that ad is gone, here's a picture:

For the picture with the Hobie 16 wedged between the fence and the tree - I think it is possible that the tree wasn't even there when the boat was originally left there, as the tree grew it lifted the hull in the air :o

I heard this is the new way of storing Hobies...The boat is in its most natural habitat while flying a hull so why not store it that way? I think we're onto something here guys...

The only logical way i can think of the boat being left that way would be to maybe keep it from being in a puddle.. I can't think of how a tree would start to grow up underneath something that heavy. I guess I should start storing my boat this way. no need for a trailer.

No need for water! Just strap your harness on and climb aboard for some backyard sailing fun.
