Here are the photos I sent in. I don't think they went through because they were too big. i am not tech savvy regarding uploading to a website but here goes
Image
This one although blurry (couldn't macro in any closer and the hull kept me from backing up) shows the crack clearly and where the hull was filled

Yikes, that does stink. Hope you get fixed up and back on the water soon.

I am now working with the warranty department and making progress. Does anyone else have these "grind marks" inside their hull? If you do can you post them here for comparison. Mine are inside the center hatch on the right side directly over a ridge in the hull. This is where the hull has split and been repaired prior to me purchasing the boat from the dealer.

My warranty request was approved and a new hull is being shipped to the dealer. I will be inspecting this new hull much more closely than I did the previous one. Brendan Castile from the warranty department was very prompt and professional in dealing with this issue and represented Hobie products very well.

Congratulations and thumbs up on the way you handled the whole situation. Don't know if I'd have been able to keep such a cool head. Well done sir!!

I'm glad to hear that this was resolved for you. I have been very pleased with Hobie's customer service so far. But that local dealer unfortunately doesn't seem to professional or caring.

I strongly advise anyone that wants to have any Hobie related products in the interior of British Columbia to go to

Copper Island Diving
271 B TRANS CANADA HIGHWAY N E
SALMON ARM, BC V1E 4N6
Canada
1-250-832-5737
[email protected]

These folks have been fantastic, far superior to any "other" dealers in the Okanagan
