I recently bought a Hobie Cat 14 turbo and i can't figure out how to get the rudders to lock downward into a vertical position. The black piece of rubber seems to resist the pin from locking into place. I have thought that with enough force I could force them to lock in but I am concerned I will break something! Any suggestions are more than welcome because I am stumped! =)

Thank you,
Sincerely, Joe Douctte of Ontario Canada.

Joe- it sounds like the cams are in a locked position. If so, you need to rotate them upward to an unlocked position. I wish I could tell you an easy way to do this, especially if the plungers are corroded somewhat. The sailors tool is supposed to easily unlock the cams, but I've not had much luck with them. Hope this helps, Dave
