Hello.

Has anyone installed these on a H17? If so, how'd you pull it off? The H16's have the convenient bow tang bolt, a luxury we don't have with the 17's.

I'm 170lbs (77 Kilos), a passenger and I usually end up well over 350lbs (159 Kilos). The ride starts to suck around 250lbs (114 kilos)...lots of water in the face and the boat constantly stalls as the front crossbar impacts waves.

Soon as we get a hull up the leeward hull likes to submarine...and even by myself I pitch poled on the harness recently! I think hydro foils would help with the problem.

I don't think they would help very much. They work on the H16 & H14 due to the rocker hulls. The H17 hulls do not curve like the H16 banana. Move your weight back if you are pitchpoling and/or the traveler out.

Thank you. I'm understanding of the weight placement and all & I can see where the traveler would stop it from submarining but...then I wouldn't be able to get the hull up with two people! I'm aware it's a single hand boat etc etc....all I want out of this post is to know if & how someone installed hydro foils.

They are not designed to fit on the 17.

They rely on the bridle bolt for their primary attachment, and the 17 uses a completely different attachment point.
