My trusty trimaran been sitting at home while I'm out flyin hulls with Hobie 16's Nacras and the like.

Yes, I've been "sailing the Appalachian Trail" lately and I just feel terrible about it.

Worse yet - my transgressions were captured on video and posted on the web. See for yourself.

(If you can, watch it in full-screen 720P HD. You'll feel the sun, wind and spray in your face. Maybe you'll understand,.. and forgive.)

In all honesty, after watching those jaw-dropping Americas Cup AC72's I'm anxious to do some foiling too. Maybe it's middle age, or maybe I should cut back on my consumption of RED BULL.

Then again -Maybe it's contagious.

Yeah, I've been seduced by the Siren call of the Cats myself, but I see them less as being unfaithful to my AI and more as the reason I have stuck with my AI and not traded up to a TI. In essence, they're fast and exhilirating, heavy and difficult to transport and great for two or more crew. They are also not so much fun in heavy weather conditions or for expedition type sailing. It's not like marriage - you're allowed an occasional fling with a good-time girl. The AI will still be waiting, with dinner on the stove, when you get home.

PS: If you're looking for a serious Red Bull experience, check out the A Class Cats: http://www.a-cat.org.au/ They're the ones Jimmy Spithill and Dean Barker sail for fun.

We're all speechless. You need to talk to your AI, not us.

Keith

PS I'm past my mid-life crisis. I have no interest in pitch poling and things like that anymore.

Very nice video and easy to understand your predicament...

... I feel oh sooo dirty as well - the AI's stayed on the Hullivators this past fri/sat while we were at Lake Winnipesaukee. Our host's neighbor has a Corsair F27 and was looking for someone to crew before it gets pulled for the season. I feel so cheap

Hey PW, we're all looking forward to a good trip report with lots of pictures.

Hey... I cheated on my H16 with and AI... and now I have a plural marriage! LOL!

The H16 will always be my first love... but the AI does a nice job of keeping the kids and wife occupied so I can spend more time with the Cat... :)

Although... I must admit... my little affair with the AI fishing in Canada will be a memory I won't soon forget..

Why apologize for sailing NOHUHU? - if we have several kids there will be times that we will spend with just one of them - think of it as "quality time" whether you are with your AI or your H16 - give ALL of them your love ! :P

Nice video - love the soundtrack too
Barry
