Hello,

I am looking to buy a pro angler was found a good deal on a PA 12. However, it is yellow. Is there anyway to paint these things in a reasonable fashion?

Thank you in advance.

Unless you're using it to hunt with, I cannot understand why you would not like the Papaya Yellow color. It probably provides the best color from a safety standpoint to be seen on the water by other boaters. Can it be painted? I would suppose so if you used a paint designed for application on a plastic surface. You would have to sand and prep it to paint it. And once the paint started to age or start flaking off or get scratched off, the PA would start to look bad.

I wouldn't even consider painting a PA if I didn't like the color. I would find one in a color I liked versus going the route you are suggesting. Just my 2 cents...

I keep saying I'm going to paint at least the front hatch lid of mine with Plasti-Dip just to see if it will stick. I'm pretty sure it will. I have friends that spray their cars, wheels, and dashes with the stuff just for temporary changes in color. It wouldn't be permanent but that's okay by me.

Check Cabela's (or probably BPS) website and search "camo netting". Several patterns and sizes that you could use to cover your yak when hunting, have a very visible yak for fishing, and none of the issues with paint.
