What is the best thing to do if you have a small tear in your sail?

The tear in the wave's sail is with above a seam and about 1" long. It come stragith out from track (that part of the sail that feeds into the mast) and is about 1/3 to 1/4 from the top of the sail.

You could try some sticky-backed dacron tape. Wrap it back along both sides from the luff.
