I am setting up an ACT Hobie Island Club with the aim to have some social events for AI/TI owners in the area.

I have made contact with Hobie and are working through some things to get official endorsement.

In the meantime I have created a Facebook page for those that like to use Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/ACT-Hobi ... 5236682696

My plan is to post info here, on Facebook on the Hobie Australia Forum http://www.hobiecat.com.au/bb/index.php

Feel free to chime in if you would like to get together with other AI/TI owners in the ACT region.

Great idea John!

I live in Illawarra, Kiama area. Would be great to join your group and keep an eye on any coastal trips you guys plan on doing. Happy to assist with any offshore days you guys might want to do in my area.

Dave

Thanks Dave, I'm sure there would be interest in the odd trip to the coast. It would be great to see people travel to our Nationals Capital for a sail as well. :D

I will be going for a sail this Sunday morning (12 Jan) launching from the boat ramp next to the Canberra Yacht Club.

I will be there around 9'ish, to set up and intend to finish up around noon.

If anyone else wants to come along or drop by to say hi, feel free.

John, I think there is a T shirt per seat (ie 2 for Tis) as well as a pair of Island Club window stickers.
