I just finished up this install over the weekend. This system matched with the 10watt Instapark Solar Panel and will ensure you have power for extended periods of time while out on the water.

It is a sealed-cell 8ah battery. I went with the combo kit by Instapark for both the panel and the controller.

Hi guys
I also made my own solarpanel for keeping gps and fishfinder alive at longer trips.
i endup doing new front hatch. Inside the kayak i have 12v output and swiches for the gps, lights.. Works great for loading my phone. Il post i picture of it ones i know how :D

Heres one pic from last years trip to lake inari Finland. You can see the new solarpanel front hatch. :)

Heres another picture. I made the new hatch from fiberclass and cover it plexiclass. Quite a big work since i never done anything with fiberclass, but im happy with the result.
