Any advice on surface preparation to improve performance like wax or polish of some sort on the bottom of the hull? I use my boat at the beach, so I also would appreciate any advice/thoughts concerning how to deal with minor hull abrasion as a result of beaching. Thanks for any/all input.

Minor abrasions on the hull of a Bravo are harmless from structural point of view. The plastic hull is just so thick compared fiberglass.

From my initial 'obsessive' research when I got back into sailing, I also think that the consensus is that there is also little you can do to create relevant speed by polishing this type of material either. I could be corrected by experts shortly though. I don't race so others may have practical experience to share.

Thanks for your response. I'm not really concerned about minor surface abrasions. My primary interest is in any hull preparation to increase speed (to the extent that's even possible with a Bravo).

Matt, do you have any thoughts/experience here?

Thanks again for any/all input.
