What size and type of string should I use on the end of the battens? thanks!

The line guide shows: 1/12" Flag Halyard x 1'6" 8 ea.

BRAIDED POLYESTER CORD - 2mm (3/32”) WHITE 161910. Buy a continuous length from Salty Dog Marine (.10/ft) and cut as needed. This is not a common size at hardware/home stores or marine suppliers. You can drive all over town and never find it.
