Round TI is two weeks away, I don't have crew and am actively lookin for crew. If you want to crew, let me know. Who else is planning on attending? Hope that it won't blow to hard. Ryan

Fleet 259 will be rolling up this year. I'm still on the fence for the 20 or the 18 though. I am also looking for crew, as is another 18 sailor last I checked.

Round TI has been one of my favorite events the past two years.

See you there!

Wow, as of last night, there were as many H20s as 16s registered. Those 18 sailors need to catch up with the rest and bring the entries up to 30. Ryan

Great event over the weekend held out of Crown Beach Alameda. The tide was a bit challenging with the fleet having to wait a bit for the tide to come in enough to launch. The drop off to the beach was very rough this year as the beach had been regenerated in the spring by East Bay Regional Parks. The sailing was a bit interesting with wind coming from the south west and lots of chop. The wind died in the middle of the second race causing a drift feast and a hunt for wind. There were lots of H 20's (13) and a bunch of H16's with three H18's sailing. Sunday brought an even lower tide and an hour delay on the start. The wind was light and mostly on the beam. Light wind around TI, and bunched up groups of boats rounded the end of TI and began the sprint back to the finish. With a bunch of odd puffs coming off of TI causing some boats to have near capsizes and crew tea bagging. The fleet was treated to a close reach across the the Oakland outer Harbor and the entrance to the estuary, which turned into a windy broad reach to the finish. Seems everyone enjoyed the ride around the island even me who flipped his new to him H20 on the windy broad reach before the finish. Ryan
