And my personal favorite.

This is over seven minutes, it is mandatory to watch the complete video without interuption and then

POST YOUR RESPONSE HERE

They ask a question about halfway way in (what is your answer?)

They start heating up (gennaker) shortly after that.

Then "show off a little boys" (with pitchpoles) is the crescendo. 8)

I'm sure Eaton is name with English heritage. This video makes me want to move "back home".

I'll stick with my FX!
Wouldn't it be cool if we could win some dough at our local regattas? I won a cool jacket one time at a regatta raffle. Here's a little video that sums up why I sail. It's pretty much the people and the adventure. This video is super low budget and shot at the last div3 regatta of the year.

Hey thanks Jeremy :) :D :!:

Great footage of the FXOne in action. That's something I've NEVER seen before. I blinked and almost missed the jibe (Dude that was sweet). The boat looks impressive all up and rolling, must be a blast to sail.

Hey, wasn't that George Pedrick on the 20 passing two boats at the mark? Just like he did at Nationals...passing everyone. :?

Thank you, gentlemen...

Those are some exceptional videos. Especially on a wet, ugly day.

Jeremy,

Well, when you're not that great a sailor you usually don't to see the really great sailors on the race course at all (they're always ahead of you). But we were 3rd to the first weather mark a couple of times and got a chance to watch the hot rods (the Tomkos, Collins & Pedricks) go flying by on the downwind legs.

$2 ??? Tom, we owe you and Nancy a 100 times that!!!

At a point last year with our new to us Hobie 20, and no other 20's within a 100 miles of us, Tom, you asked me to bring it to Tulsa and race. My testosterone was not going to allow me to do that. We knew barely how to put it together, and things like over-rotation control were still in the box! But you talked me into bringing it and promised you'd get us on the water. And You Did :D

As you eluded to in another post, Hobie sailors are the most helpful group in the world. Just ask questions, especially at a regatta, most are eager to share.

I'm real greatful for this forum, take it a step further folks, meet someone at the water :)

Tom,
You better pack a lunch if you think you'll be pulling in ahead of me even once this next season.
Say Hi to your beautiful wife :P
Eaton is just kissing your ass for more information. Don't tell him anything!

It is ZERO out with a big wind. Wind Chills is something like 25 below right now (Jan 30)
Summer is coming and the first regatta on our schedule is Daggerless down in Div 14. Can't hardly wait!
