 Post subject: Question about the amas

are the black pipes that attach into the amas supposed to pull our when you push down on the ama itself? I didn't put the boat together, boat it on the trailer, so I am not sure about that part.

My daughter wanted to jump off the end of the boat, she was going to push off of the ama and it separated from the black pipe, I wasn't expecting that, but I guess that is why there is a bungee connected from the ama to the pipe.

I think that you've answered your own question when you stated that it was held on with a bungee.
The AMAs are detachable and the task is accomplished by detaching the bungee.
If your daughter wants to practice "walking the plank", she'll need a more robust surface to launch from. :)
Maybe a HAKA bench seat ? 8)

Thanks, I figured as much, I was just getting verification.

Funny that you mention the HAKA bench, I am going to build these in the next couple of weeks. I have the trampolines, and while they are nice, you get wet and sit low.
