Hi Marius
Finally got my new TI. Have been sailing in donegal bay last couple of weeks learning the ropes. I am based in killybegs when in donegal.
Having great fun on boat.
Cheers

Hi Pottsy,

Great to hear from you and that you have found your way here ;-)
Congratulations on your Island! Sure is great fun! Are you going solo on it mainly?
Very nice area donegal bay, I used to live in Rossnowlagh on the other side of the bay for 4 years. Nice deep waters around Killybegs. Are you fishing from it as well?

Is it possible that you where near Waterville around the bank holiday weekend in early august?
We had a kayakfishing meet down there and someone told me he saw a guy with a red tandem on the roof.

Hope to see you on the water sometime. Would be cool if we could start a little islanders meet in ireland.

Hi marius
Sailing mostly solo. Been out quite a few times around killybegs and once in lough erne.
Wasn't me with red ti on roof. I have it trailered which makes it very easy launching.
I have another friend in Derry with a AI and he sails with some of his mates in two AI in north donegal.
I haven't been fishing just sailing and learning the ropes.
Weather has been miserable this week and havent got out but hope to sail sat and sun again.
Yes it would be good to get out with a few other hobies.
Keep in touch.

Hej Man great to hear from you.

Sorry for my late reply. Nice to hear you are getting on well.
Seems like there is a lot of Islanders up your way?
Sailing solo on a TI must be some craic! Havent been out sailing in a long while, actually never since my island trip to Inishmore. Lots of fishing though, its so versatile.

Let me know if you are ever coming down here with or without kayak for a chat or so.

If you get in touch with the other Islanders up north point them to this thread so we can get a community here and maybe organise a meet in the future?

All the best
Marius
