Happy New Year.

I am excited about this year to meet more Island owners in my area and create more events for us to get together.

If your like me this is the time of year where I start planning my annual week long trip for the year. This year I got my sights and goals on the WaterTribe - North Carolina Pamlico Challenge (NCPC) a 300 mile adventure style race. I am sure many have heard of the incredible events they put on in Florida.

They haven't released the date yet, but depending on those dates I might be able to do it. If not there are a few of us in NJ that might just pick a 7-10 window this summer and do the same course just a little slower and enjoy the camping instead of racing

Happy sailing be safe

I finally got my old log in working again, this is my first post in 4 years under YAKMAN

Just moved back to NJ and look forward to meeting some fellow AI/TI guys up here! Have looked into the watertribe events and they look like a blast, but the cost has turned me away. I would definitely like to fellow the race if I can get the time off!

We should get some weekend trips together in both salt and freshwater. Im a fisherman at heart so the spring run cannot come quickly enough and am willing to go out in the cold! Feel free to pm me and we can exchange info, springs right around the corner!

Im in northern jersey, what area are you located in?

Is there any place on the jersey shore to try out an island tandem? The jersey paddler seems to be going out of business and the new hobie dealer in Point Pleasant doesn't have any assembled. There's another place in LBI but they don't have any TIs. I'm very interested in the boat but it's a lot of money to put into something that I've never sailed. I've taken out hobie waves before and gone kayaking but not sure how this really compares. Thanks for any help.
