I live in Fort Eustis, VA, on post housing. In my situation, we do not have a big backyard nor do I have a garage to store my hobie. I currently wall mount my hobie. is this ok?

That wouldn't be great long term no. The issue is all the weight being point loaded on those 2 spots where the strap wraps the sides of the hulls - it will distort. The manual is pretty clear what Hobie recommends - and what we warn against. link: https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstatic.hobiecat.com%2Fdigital_assets%2F897005-tandem-island-manual-150701.pdf

If I hung this upside down, then it's good to go?

profiled stiff foam (similar to bouyancy foam supplied) between hull and straps to spread load and even a couple of extra straps to spread the load. Alternate which side you store it on

Yes - it would be 100 times better - but you'd still want to spread that load, the straps can 'squeeze' down onto the boat - but if the boat were resting on a couple beams and then hung or on a rack it would be best.

You could leave it there if you used 4 kayak wall racks, padded, mounted to studs. Straps for security.

Your wallboard's gonna be trashed by the time you rotate out though.

Nice wall ornament. Great conversation piece.

Can i store it on my trailer? As you can see, that is the size of my backyard.

Yep. You can store it on the trailer. It won't be any wider than that but it will be longer. I would recommend getting a cover if storing outside. Additionally, I would look at swapping out the cradles for pvc bunks to keep the distortions to a minimum. Ft. Eustis doesn't have an RV/boat storage lot you could use?

They do but it's outside in a locked fence area. I don't want my stuff getting stolen.

Locked fence area should be pretty secure. Not to mention you're on post. There are ways to secure the TI to the trailer and secure the trailer so no one can drive off with it. Hmmm...it might still fit in your "back yard" on the trailer.
