Me again...

i'll be painting the hulls in a few days and would need to remove the rudder gundgeons.
Anybody knowing if there are washer and nut on the inside or a threaded plates of some kind.
Don't have any inspection ports and will not install any

There is a threaded plate on the inside, but it can become loose.

To avoid losing it, remove all but one of the machine screws in each gudgeon and slightly loosen the last machine screw. Rotate the gudgeon out of the way and re-install a machine screw in a hole (without the gudgeon) to hold the plate in place while you paint. Two screws (one where each gudgeon was) will hold the plate in place and in alignment.

When you are done painting, just reverse the process.
