Hello. I just found a nut in the hull of my 2014 Adventure Island.
Any ideas from where this nut might fall off?
Thanks in advance for your replies. Image

I think the most likely source is one of the brackets that attach the AI mast receiver bottlescrew braces.

I remember (having taken my very early AI apart to replace a hull) that there are two braces, one either side that go from the bottom of the mast receiver to the aka bar in some way where they locate onto a threaded rod with a nut to hold them in situ, but not having my boat available to look at I am having difficulty remembering the exact setup.

Either way, since most of the deck fittings do not penetrate the hull but attach via moulded-in inserts, what you need to identify is a fitting where there would be a screw-thread protruding into the hull or one that is part of a fitting already inside the hull. I suspect that the braces aforementioned are one of your first places to look.

Hope this helps & please report back!

There is a possibility it is an extra -- dropped in the hull during assembly and wasn't retrived. This has happened to me. 8)

Hello guys. Thank you very much for your replies. I checked everything inside the hull and no nut is missing. So maybe there is a left over or something. The funny part is that I found the nut after 3 years that I own the AI. Lol.
