The Hobie web site now shows a single boat in the "Fiberglass" category, the Hobie 16. As recently as this summer the WIldcat was still being sold in the USA, I know I went and talked to the local dealer about it.

Also in the rotomolded range the T2 is no longer listed.

I'd say it's the beginning of the end, but really it's the middle of the end as far as Hobie building fiberglass boats, I am afraid.

Both the WildCat and the T2 are still offered to dealers. Just on a special order basis.

We have not built fiberglass hulls in the USA for years. Australia builds their own H16s. France builds our 16s and all the rest of the glass products. Just more efficient use of each facility. We concentrate of rotomolding here in Oceanside... and build all of the aluminum, trampolines and sails for the US and Australian facilities.

Are all of the rotomolded hulls built in California?

does France still build 14 hulls? could a 14 turbo be special ordered? Or would it end up costing more than a 16?

Thanks Gino, I've seen that, but at this point even though it's unused, it's still 13 years old... curious how a new one would compare if available

We can order Hobie 14s... it's a process starting with a dealer.
