I'm having trouble hauling in and holding the main sheet on my bravo (I have removed the cleats as I found it too dangerous in lumpy seas and a good breeze). Has anyone got any ideas on how to increase the leverage from 3:1 to anything greater? I need to constantly adjust the tension (especially when on one hull) but I'm struggling to haul it back in.
Thanks.

I think the Hobie Wave main sheet system is 4:1. Maybe it will fit your Bravo? I have never seen a Bravo so I don't know if it would work for you.

Here is a pic of the Wave mainsheet system I removed from my boat. I upgraded to a 6:1 system for the same reasons as you.

Thanks maxphunn (great name) for your reply. Where I sail there is a hobie wave (I think you would know him: "Geoff" - victor harbour south Australia - does a few YouTube videos about waves but unfortunately that block setup won't work on the bravo.

Perhaps I should give up on the bravo and get a wave!!!!
Cheers...

You sail in a wonderful place! No, I don't know Geoff, but I have enjoyed his videos.

I like to sail solo and in good winds, so the Wave works well for me.
