Just purchased a 2017 Oasis .. what is the function of the PLUG on the starboard stern section? Screws out and has a small attachment. What function does it serve??

That is the drain plug. It only works, of course, when the kayay is stored or transported upside down.

Drain plug...could also open this for periods of storage (especially in hot climates), however I'd rather open one of the hatches slightly to let pressure escape in warmer climates, that way I don't forget to put the drain plug back in before getting on the water. With that being said, it's a good idea to create a safety checklist to run through before launching - which would include checking the drain plug is inserted :)
