Nice work Tim! I posted this question on the Hobie Compass Facebook page but thought I'd also ask it here.
Did you have to worry with hitting any of the rudder cable components on the starboard side - especially at the upfront attaching point?

Yes, I neglected to cover that off. You should always be cautious when drilling through. The rudder deploy cables do run down the one side, but they are tight to the inside. As long as you drill in the middle of the rail, you have about 1/2" clearance...at least I did on mine.
