Most visible color for an Outback?

I'd like to see pictures of groups of kayakers in the distance, to show which colors of kayak are more visible from a distance. It has been my experience that kayaks of some colors, like white and tan, tend to disappear, while colors such as orange and bright green are visible at long distance.

I had a Revo in papaya and now have a PA14 in the same color. The papaya does provide a lot of visibility on the water and you can increase that by wearing a bright colored PFD and mounting a safety flag. That being said, you cannot ever count on a motorboat looking for you....keep your head on a swivel and stay out of their way.

There is also reflective tape that is made for use on kayaks and a piece just above the waterline would also help with visibility. The flashing strobe on a 30" mast is something I would want for low light situations. Unfortunately anyone can buy and drive a powerboat and the average skill level of those out on the water leaves a great deal to be desired.

In support some of the other comments, I always run a flag with a light on top and wear a bright (not so bright anymore) yellow PFD. Also, I strongly agree that no matter how much effort you put into making yourself visible you still have to watch for idiots!
