Hi, I just ordered a Scotty 1099 electric downrigger. I would prefer a light battery, would a Nocqua 10Ah or similar battery get the job done? I also have the battery that came with my bixpy jet which I have a 12V adapter for, perhaps that would be a better option? Thank you.

I use the Nocqua 10ah battery for my FF/GPS and it will power the unit for 9 hours. I don't see why it wouldn't work for your downrigger. Can't beat the size and weight of the Nocqua batteries.
