Just bought a used 2016 PA 12 wich has a boonedox landing gear installed on it a few months ago. Spring arrived in Michigan and I was able to finally take her out over the past weekend. When returning home I noticed what looked like a small crack near the landing gear bracket. I have read where Hobie was advising not installing these on their Pro Angler's. MY question does this look like a stress crack from the Boonedox landing gear?

Call Boonedox and see about getting a larger backing plate that will distribute the stress over a larger area. You can also inquire about someone plastic welding the small crack before it turns into a bigger crack. Good luck
