Hi all,

I am trying to figure out the best way to store either the Drive or the Torqueedo Motor while the other is in use on an AI2 (2015).
Would prefer something a little more secure than just resting them on the trampoline. Something like a bracket with the same slots like the drive well where the shaft snaps in. Doesnt need to snap in but at least so gravity keeps it secure in the "slotted bracket". If I would do that vertically mounted to the AKA then the fins/propeller would probably drag in the water. If I would mount it horizointally it could still fall out to the side... maybe i am overthinking this...
Cant figure it out whats the best way to do this and where would be the best location so would be delighted to see peoples mods and ideas.

Thanks
Marius

I'm not quite sure what you need. The Torqueedo 403 simply tilts up when not in use.

I simply store my drive across the footwell in front of the slot. I tied a very small loop on the drive (near the base of the pedals) and use a snapshackle tied to other sturdy line (eg dyneema like used for rudder lines) which is tied to the small plastic deadeye on the face of the footwell wall. The drive fits neatly there, and the line is just there for security in case of a capsize.

I suspect you could set up something similar for when you want to have the Torqueedo out of the slot.

Thanks Tony, that sounds simple enough to do, Will have a look if I can do that. I might have been overthinking this.
