Personally I think any number of people up to 600lbs max is fine without the mast and sail.
With the mast and sail, it would be completely dependent on the conditions but for me, even in low wind conditions I would only want one kid on each tramp.
Then again, that's easy for me to say since I have two kids. But I would likely not sail if I were to invite one of their friends.

I am reasonably sure that it is a violation of federal law to alter or remove those stickers. Covering it up is a far smarter option, I think. Obviously it violates the spirit of "alter", but, still, it's easier to undo.

Wow, what a nightmare. I need to find out what MD law states, though honestly, what the law states is going to be largely irrelevant since DNR officials are almost always going to be under the impression that the capacity plate is the law and ask you to return to shore. I really hope Hobie can do something here.
