I launched my TI fully rigged with AKA attached and folded in. Launched fine, but came back at low tide and the shore was really full of pot holes and boulders. It took max effort to pull up and out of all the holes in the shore line. The cart was fully seated on the cradle and fully extended through the scupper holes and locked in place via the pin and bungee cord.
I used the hobie cart with large tires, 2x30, and I used the support cradle,
https://www.strictlysailinc.com/product/cradle-plug-cart-tandem-island/I looked the next day and saw this in my scupper hole. Looks like a crack. However, I tried to poke a zip tie through the crack, but it wouldn't pass through. I recall reading that the holes are not always aligned from the factory and maybe the seam is just mismatched and not damaged/cracked.
I need to test this thought. Perhaps put duct take across the hole on the bottom of the kayak and then fill the scupper hole with water above the crack and see if it leaks into the kayak. I live 1.4 hours from the lake one way and 12hr shifts, so testing at home is best.
Can you tell if it is broken? I see there are welding kits for $70 from Hobie sold on amazon.
