I bought a Passport a week ago and love it so far. I bought a sail kit for it and the instructions reference running the main sheet through the rear pad eye, but the Passport doesn't seem to have one that matches the illustration in the manual. Do I need to install something separately, or is there an acceptable part already there that I'm missing?

Thanks!

For the passport, you will need to teather a small turning block or ring to the aft handle insert.

Something like:

H224 BLOCK-MICRO SINGLE

Ok, thanks! Do you have a specific recommendation for such a product?

As shown above (Harken H224) tied to the handle insert with a short line would work.

Hi. I was reading this and wanted to know if that is strong enough to withstand the pull of the sail. Im concerned that it might weaken the handle insert. I was thinking of installing a pad eye, but then i have to install a hatch in the back so i have access to secure the nuts. This seems much easier!! Thanks. Sean.

You can carry the boat by the handle, so should be just fine.
