Does anybody have some experience with other small trimarans? I'm especially interested in the Fulmar 19...

How do they compare with the Adventure Island?

I think they went out of buisness, I am sure it would be at least 3x as expensive as the AI. Most yak company's have sail rigs like easy rider.
Price performace it is hard to beat the AI.
You could get higher performance from a raptor 16 or bayback works trident but they are more expensive

I have myself a Windrider 17. It's a really good boat to bring vrew and have fun even in smooth or heavy conditions. The boat is stable and comfortable. You can also bring a lot of stuff due to the front cockpit. In the same way as the Island, the pilot, located in the rear chair , can drive the boat without moving from his place.
I think (but i'm not sure), that the windrider is faster. I done 14.2 knots yesterday.

The disadvantage of the Windrider is that you always need a ramp to drop the boat in the water and the ramps are not always build to accomodate sail boats. The boat is 3 times heavier than the Adventure. The cost of the Windrider (full equiped with electrical motor) is also 3 times the Adventure's cost (or 2 times not fully equiped).
The windrider take a long time to bring in the water (approx. 30-45 min.) so the evening sailing is a mess with it (except if you can leave the mast always up.
