Hello!

I was wondering if you are allowed to launch a Hobie 14 or 16 on a public beach in California? I am probably not allowed but figured I'd ask. If I am not allowed, does anyone have any recommendations about beaches where I can launch near Los Angeles?

Thank you,
Elliot

Generally-speaking, the public has a right to access the tidal areas of beaches... that said, the State has the power to have laws to protect the safety and welfare of beachgoers. So, I would talk to whatever city/county the beaches are in

There is a launch in Long Beach harbor.

Claremont Place.
