Has any ever dealt with this seller? https://coast2coastsails.com/ I am about to pull the trigger on a TI , just trying not to get scammed. It is a 2018 display model . His story is he was never a certified hobie dealer and had to close his store front at the beginning of covid. Apparently the store was in the Huntington beach area. He is now shipping them from Colorado with the shipping company https://vesseltransports.com/ Just trying to find any info I can. He is willing to do 50% and the other 50% when it gets delivered.

thanks ahead of time for any info

That site looks sketchy. How does this guy have Islands in stock? They are not a dealer and Islands are in short supply right now. No address or phone contact info... text says Closed due to civil... not covid?

Looking at this further. The domain registration does not indicate who owns the business. It is "registered by proxy"... another big red flag.

I found somewhere the business being registered to a “Valentina moye” in Maricopa county Arizona, filed in august of this year.

Completely fake. Same fake story was floating around in craigslist ads recently. Notice the fake shipping site is the same template as the fake boat site. Tell them you are in Colorado and will come pick it up, watch how fast they stop communicating with you.

The pictures of the supposedly 2018 model they list and show on the website is a pre-2015. No vantage seats or inverse bows.

I did a google search on his images and none of them were original to him. They were grabbed from a bunch of other sites. Seems much too good to be true.

Scammers! I fell for it and lost $1000. Currently in the process of trying to get my money back since it was under a Venmo business and there is a buyer protection. Do NOT fall for it.
