It seems 2021 they removed the recessed area for the transducer cable.
Where is everyone putting this now?
I read somewhere that someone said it is kinda thin on the back wall.
I am using seat risers for tackle boxes under the seat so if I place it where it normally went the boxes would always be hitting it.

Any suggestions?

While I did read that in the manual and it is wrong because it is not 2 holes at 1 3/8. I was wondering why they changed the recess for the fitting. I didn’t want it exposed to tackle box’s and was hoping for others experience of placing on the back wall or on top.

Verify that the plastic is equal on all sides before you drill. I drilled mine in to a bubble of plastic and now have to patch the hole where the manual says to drill.

2018 Compass.
