The camera is a Pentax Optio W10. It has been replaced by newer, more splendiferous models, but works great for me! Besides getting sprayed a lot, it has capsized with me and never missed a beat.

Lake Hodges, here in Escondido, is where I like to go, since it's just a stone's throw away. We usually get a good afternoon coastal wind shooting up the valley. It can get a little gusty and directionally variable with these hills, but it keeps one from getting too complacent! There are a couple of ideal sailing spots where there is a nice breeze close enough to the shore that the chop doesn't get a chance to build much. We just have to keep an eye out for Hodgee! 8)

Wow what a story. Never new there was a monster in the lake. I bet it would be fun to scan the area with side scan sonar and see if you can get a picture of it. Hummingbird has a great new fish finder with side scan. I stay at a condo in Escondido when I am there, I will have to try out the lake. Thanks. Don
