Anyone have advice on how to attach the AI cradles to a Rack and Roll trailer?

The Thule bars look too narrow to adequately support the cradles at the points they are bolted to the trailer. Also, the size of the holes that must be drilled in the narrow Thule bars for the bolts look like they would seriously weaken the bars structural integrity.

Am I anul or what? I'm no engineer, and certainly no handy man. If you have any "how to" advice I'd appreciate hearing from you?

Also, where can I find the trailer parts I might need if choose not to use the Thule bars and go with something more substantial?
