If all goes well over the next 2 weeks, I will be getting a 1990 H17. From what I can remember of the boat, is it does not have the cross bar between the Bridle wires. Is this a "Special Bar" Hobie only for some reason, or can I make it if at some time I want to add a jib?

Thanks
Sam

The bar is not that special - it's the same extrusion as the boom.

It's the end fittings that are the trick.

I've got the entire Sport conversion kit (spreader bar, bridles, forestay, roller furler, white jib - never even unrolled, jib sheet cleats & sheets and the boomlet for the main). Hobie list price is about $1,200. Make me an offer.
