This is a 'how to' using screen captures to assist with the posting of pictures on the forum.

I followed Roadrunners instructions from the above post. Hopefully the screen captures will help those that still have trouble posting their pics. :)

Great tutorial Stringy, and very nicely illustrated!

There is a slick little feature that I like to use in your third step -- resizing the image (highlighted below in purple):

By checking "resize" and selecting one of the options to the right, you can control image size as it appears on the forum. Smaller, of course opens faster for those on dial-up but lacks detail that a larger size offers.

For example, this 320 x 240 picture of Hobie's new bungee hook works well:

But for more detail one might select the 640 x 480 presentation as in this Hobie kayak wake shot:

After spending several evenings folloing everyone's instructions with no luck I removed the checkmark located at the bottom of the edit screen labeled "Disable BBCode in this post". As soon as I did this everything started working properly. Your examples show no checkmark -this is good, but it's subtle and I didn't notice it.

So thank you for your help :D

Roadrunner -thanks for pointing out the image resizing feature. There should be no excuse now for members not including pics in their posts!

DaveLL -glad you got your pics showing eventually. I wasn't aware of the BBCode problem. Well spotted! 8)
