One of my wings has water in the main aluminum tube. I know that the ends of tubes (the part that gets inserted into the hull) has a pair of plugs inside with a piece of wood reinforcement in between. The water has gotten past one of the plugs and is trapped in between them. I'd prefer not to go pulling all the guts out from inside the wing, but I would like to get the water out so it doesn't rot the wood or corrode the aluminum. I tried storing the wing flipped upside down for a few weeks in the hopes that gravity would cause the water to seep into the section above the plug (then I would just drill a small hole to drain), but it didn't work- the water is still trapped.

Any suggestions?

:D I drilled 1/8" holes in plastic end caps of the wings to drain. Also have holes in top of wing from removed foot straps. Water drains just fine, and tubes are dry between sailing.
