Is the seat on the Outback comfortable for long rides? I am sometimes bothered by a sore lower back, what is the support like for that area? :?:

Hey Willard,
Welcome to the Board. Great question. I too have lower back problems, but even after 4-5 hours in the Outback, I have not noticed any particular aggravation, although others have. There is a simple solution however. There are a number of seat cushions out there that seem to solve this problem for most folks. These range from a simple inflatable camping-type cushion to more elaborate (and expensive) gel-filled cushions that conform exactly to your size and shape. I have been thinking of trying one of these out, but so far have not really needed one. Check out these links to see what I mean.

The seats are very comfortable for long periods, and are surprisingly supportive. The best part is they are very easy to adjust too. My recomendation is to adjust them in slightly different positions from time to time to keep your back fresh and the blood flowing.
