I wish I could say I was screaming across the water on a beam reach when the boat hit something, but it was much less exciting. We had a severe storm and probably a tornado that blew the boat down the beach. Wrong place at the wrong time.

As you can see, the boat is done.

I see PMs aren't allowed on this board. Is there a private way to communicate with you all to see about selling what's left?

Thanks.

I'll get another Hobie soon. Been sailing a Hobie for about 20 years and love it too much to let this stop me.

You can call me at 609-737-0022 If I'm out please leave a message.
BTW I know where you can get a pair of 1988 hulls in NJ for cheap, maybe free, if you want to try to put it back together.

Ouch, sorry about that. Hope everybody's OK. Do you happen to have a spare mast base assembly (50416011)? Ours got torqued yesterday and one of the pin receivers broke off.

Thanks,

Chris

Nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix.

Just an update -- I haven't been able to get the time away from work to recover what is left, so my apologies to those who have expressed interest in parts. When I get the stuff, I'll contact you guys.

No worries. WCVette contacted me off list about a mast base. We ordered one from Jeremy in Santa Cruz yesterday, but we'll probably be ordering a Getaway, so hopefully he won't mind
