Kaymaniak here. First Post. Have two papaya playthings. Replaces two Carolina sea kayaks. Am now too old to windsurf. Excellent water toy. Mucho comfortable. Learning curve was build in driveway, river/kayak, river/mirage, lake/sail, lake/sail, lake/sail, buzzards bay/sail. Good thing I went in incremental steps. I needed all my prior experience in Buzzards Bay (15-20 knots) when the rudder kicked up and out on my wife's AI. I am still amazed at the ingenious design. Travel with two AIs in Toyota Sienna. Kayaks and mast/sail on top. Amas stacked inside from front to back between captain's chairs. Have cable through Mirage Drive opening to cable lock to roof rack. These things are a blast. Reminds me of short board windsurfing, except now I can stay out longer, and get back if the wind dies. I have not seen any AIs in Concord River, Lake Quonapowitt, or Buzzards Bay. Anybody out there? Any advice on fun (and legal) launch spots?
