A while ago Roadrunner posted about adding extra "Bow/Stern" handles (pn 76050001)" to various parts of the kayak to offer grip alternatives. See his post here:

I have taken his advice literally
and added an extra handle to the bow!
It allows you to use both arms which makes it much easier if you have a long walk pulling your kayak on the cart. I have to haul my kayak up two very steep and long driveways and having the extra handle helps a lot. If you've ever had to haul the fully rigged AI through sand you'll also notice a benefit.
My extra handle is actually the stern handle relocated. I rarely used the stern handle and replaced it with a short line with loops that are handy when I launch from a jetty.
