Was wondering if any one was aware of a aftermarket dagger for the tiger that meets the maximum length allowed by F18 rules. I understand Mischa uses a board that is 15 cm longer than the stock tiger board. If there is not a aftermarket option is anyone else looking to get a F18 set made and get a few sets made to spread the cost over several sets.

Dan

Mischa boards were from a Marstrom 20 I understood when I was at the F18 Worlds in Spain. Look up SailCenter Sweeden for info - I bet they aren't cheap.

They looked normal to me, though they were black. If you have a Tiger at hand you can meassure Mischas daggerboards with photo 3 and 4 from the following album:

I personally picked them up - they were not Tiger boards...trust me - they were made completely different - they were longer...and much lighter - I was then told that they came from an M20

thanks

Takes too many people to run that boat. If I had steady crew I'd campaign an F18. Some of us don't have a competitive wife, willing to (much less enjoy) spending every weekend running the front of the boat. :D

I might be interested in some of the boards though....... I'm curious if just the plain Tiger board, being a bit longer, would help at all.

Is that set up so the boards can be pulled up from the other side with the handle? Thats pretty trick how does the board attach to the rope.

Yep. The cord (it actually is a band) is going inside the dagger board, I guess fixed somehow to the fiber and then gelcoated over it.
