Any Hobie dealer.

http://www.hobiecat.com/company/dealer.html

Murrays does not have access to Hobie parts direct from the factory, so any order would be delayed as they order from an authorized dealer... and the dealer orders from us and so on.

Matt, good point, however, I've found over the years (20+) that Murray's stocks parts and can ship immediately, where as the hobie dealers, for the most part DON'T, and have to order from the factory. :?

I many cases that is probably true. Their primary business is mail order and dealer wholesale, so they stock a lot of generic parts.

So does Surf City.... and Sunjammers , and Mariner, and a lot of us. And we support local sailing.

Aftermarket H17 wing tramps ready for shipment. I get them from the same place as murrays. $225.

Surf city, good to hear. I can only speak from my experience here in the Pacific Northwest. I've been a Hobie sailor for over 25 years and over that time I've placed many orders, both with Hobie dealers and others (e.g., Murray's, LayLine, Whirlwind, etc.) when I've ordered anything but the most basic common parts from a Hobie dealer, they had to order from the factory. Not so from Murray's. I'm not harping. I understand that many dealerships are fairly small and can't afford to stock large inventories, but if it means extended time off the water, I’m going with those who have it in stock and can get it to me quickly.

Most of the dealers I deal with stock a good deal of parts. but then again I deal with the ones Surf City named as well as Key Sailing. Yes it is impossible to have everything in stock all the time but we sure try hard. right now we are lower than we like but we just redid a bunch of rentals boats and waiting on a new order from hobie.

Yeah - I'd really like to support my local Hobie dealer (in MN) but they make it hard. They won't mail stuff to me and I live 40 min away one direction. They take forever to order things and often forget to call when they actually get the part that I ordered. Just not worth the hassle so Murray's and Surf City have my business.

If Hi-Tempo isn't working out for you give Jim Sohn a call in Des Moines. He ships misc stuff my way all the time, or I can grab it at a regatta for you. BTW- your email address no longer seems to work.
