I've been thinking about the idea of a spray screen, but didn't want to spend the $$ on a dodger (especially with the quality issues some people have been reporting), and i don't have access to a seamstress as Kayak Bob does :)

So I thought something like this might work:

Looks like you might be able to bungee this down to the forward hatch area? Whaddya think?

It will increase the area exposed to the wind, which may effect how the boats responds in strong wind. Some of my sprayskirt test designs caused me not to be able to turn across the wind at lower winds then with the present design or without a sprayskirt. Something to watch out for. I wonder if the dodger does this too?
