I asked this question a few months ago, still looking for another AI sailor in Arizona. If anyone is out there, please reply.

Hey when you comeing back out to rocky point mexico with your AI. The weather is great right now. Just sold one to an austrian guy, he is stocked. Have found some great reefs to fish out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX6Q0yyaBkE

Nice to hear from you. We will be there for Thanksgiving. I wish we could make it for the concerts next weekend, but I have a conflict at work. If you free, lets go sailing over Thanksgiving. We are coming down Wedensday back on Sunday and will be at the Reef RV Park. Have you heard any news about the REEF RV closing next year? If so, let know know.

Great video, I'm watching it now!

Thanks

Bob

Hi SedonaAI

Nice to hear from another owner in the area. Where do you plan on sailing?

Hi Bob,

Here's a thread under the Sailing Forum. Should be the next big trip for me. I'm hoping to at least do Hoover to Willow Beach and then maybe on to Davis Dam this Thanksgiving, or there abouts. Still wasn't that cold when I did it last yr and the hot springs were nice!

Am definately looking forward to the second leg of Breakman's "Parker to Yuma" trip in the spring!

Between now and then, day sailing on Tempe Town Lake during the week, Saguaro Lake, Horseshoe, Pleasent on weekends... all the usual.

All listed in this book, Paddling Arizona
Image

Def worth picking up, I've also got his "Canyoneering AZ" book, great stuff for hiking ideas.

ETA, this one has been on my list for a while: http://www.delange.org/KnollLake/KnollLake.htm

Sorry for the delayed reply. I missed the recent Hobie Cat North American Championships held last Nov 8-13 and discussed at length here but guess it's worth checking into!

Power boats might be a nuisance...

Here's some good ifo: http://www.golakehavasu.com/boating-information.html
Quote:
WIND at LAKE HAVASU!

Those of you who watch the weather sites should begin to see the temperature gradients changing in the Havasu area. Whereas up until now the temps have been over 100 degrees, a dramatic lowering of temperatures has occurred in the desert. This is the time that the upper level low pressure begins to settle into the Colorado River Basin, and we experience a lot of breeze. North wind becomes more frequent every week until the New Year. Lake Havasu will soon be experiencing the daily ‘Winter Wind’ that has up until now been nearly unknown to the sailing world for this area. During the November dates for Havamega, Lake Havasu will likely have SW to SSW wind from 5-13mph, with odds on that one or two days will be NW to NNW wind from 13-22mph. This is based on research of the last 5 years of records for the lake wind there. Locals report the lake is filled in every day during the late fall, winter and early spring.
